Susan Balboni

Susan Balboni is a Bostonian at heart. In addition to much stage work, Susan has done a gaggle of voice work, network promos, commercials and interactive games (most recently, many sinister, barbaric broads on Sony's "Everquest" game). Her TV credits include Charmed, The Drew Carey Show, and the new Cartoon Network animated series "The Mr. Men Show" where she plays the delightful "Little Miss Scary." Tracy Connor

Tracy Connor has a strong stage background, is a native of Chicago and was schooled at Emerson College in Boston, Second City, and the British-American Drama Academy. She's a veteran improvisor, playing 11 years with Los Angeles Theatresports (now Impro Theatre). TV Credits include Huff; Push, Nevada and In Living Color, and film credits include Home Alone, Dutch, and indies How to Get Laid at the End of the World, Scream at the Sound of the Beep and For Pete's Wake.

 

Debbie Falb

Debbie Falb has directed for Circle X Theatre Co. in Los Angeles and HERE's American Living Room festival in New York, as well as for the Brown University Steinberg Festival of New Plays, Perishable Theatre and her own company, Square One Theatre Project, in Providence, RI. In addition, she has directed for the Telluride Repertory Theatre and the Telluride Theatre Festival in Colorado and the Playwrights' Project in San Diego. Prior to becoming a director, Debbie worked on staff at the La Jolla Playhouse during six seasons, and at the McCarter Theatre, San Diego Opera, Arkansas Repertory Theatre and Circus Flora. A finalist in the NEA/TCG Career Development Program for Directors, Debbie has an MFA in directing from the University of California, San Diego.

 

Rachel Hamilton

Rachel Hamilton (Raquel after 8:00pm) was born and raised in Washington, D.C. She moved to Chicago to attend Northwestern University, from which she graduated with a degree in theater. Rachel spent the next 8 years at The Second City, starting in the National Touring Company and ending up on the Mainstage, writing and performing original comedy revues. While in Chicago, Rachel also did numerous tiny shows in tiny venues as well as many independent films. In an effort to escape the tininess of it all, Rachel moved to Los Angeles, where despite an effort to get a career in TV and film going, she found herself drawn to the stage. Again, there were many tiny shows and independent films and a new discovery, solo work. Rachel began writing and performing her own stories on stage at venues all across Los Angeles and is a proud member of The Quarterly Report. Rachel has recently moved to New York where she is running her one-person show, HAMILTONIA, at the Upright Citizens* Brigade Theatre and is a regular player on Sunday nights in Assscat, also at UCB. Rachel is also a guest host on "Young Turks," a radio talk show on Sirius Satellite Radio.

 

Victoria Hoffman

Victoria Hoffman's regional credits include Charley Bacon w/ Tony Plana at South Coast Repertory, Tartuffe and Crimes of the Heart at Missouri Repertory Theatre, and A Midsummer Night's Dream for the Theatricum Botanicum. Local highlights include appearing with Alan Young in the hit production of You Can't Take It With You at the Actor's Co-op; 'Amy' in the award-winning production of Company at the West Coast Ensemble; and 'Rachel' in Reckless for Blue Sphere Alliance. Solo pieces have appeared at The Met Theatre, Blue Sphere Alliance, and 15 Minutes of FEM V & VI. She will also be appearing in the Valentine Slideshow on February 15th, for all you romantics. A Board member for The Classical Theatre Lab, she has appeared in their production of Brecht's The Resistible Rise of Arturo Ui and is playing 'Charlotta' in a staged reading of The Cherry Orchard on March 11th. Recent TV/Film appearances include The King of Queens, Boston Legal and the Paris Hilton flick, Bottom's Up. Ms. Hoffman is also very active in the commercial, voiceover and animation community.

 

Michelle Philippe

Michelle Philippe keeps busy working in theatre, film and radio. She first presented solo work in her hometown Seattle with "Aria", a satirical gothic rant. Michelle’s material took a turn in 2005 after meeting www.mishaco.com. She began writing about meeting him instead of writing about not meeting him for many years. Then she married him in 2007. He is a very patient person and remains the inspiration and focus of much of her work.

 

Michael A. Shepperd

Michael A. Shepperd was last seen in the critically acclaimed productions of Intimate Apparel (NAACP Theatre Image Award Nomination) at San Diego Rep, The Bacchae and "4" at Celebration Theatre. Recent Los Angeles credits include: Caroline, or Change (Ahmansohn Theatre), The Blacks (Evidence Room), STEEL: John Henry and the Shaker (Oasis Theater, 2002 Ovation Award winner, Lead Actor), Raisin (ICT, NAACP Theatre Image Award nomination, Robby nomination), Antigone. Tertiary. Sexxx. (Oasis), Figaro Pigaro (Falcon Theater) and Parade (MTG). Michael was the voice of Audrey II in the Broadway production of Little Shop of Horrors directed by Jerry Zaks.
Regional credits include work at Steppenwolf, Northlight, City Lit, Court, and Bailiwick theaters in Chicago, The Phoenix theater in Indianapolis, and work in New York, New Jersey, Florida, and pretty much any town with a fresnel. His regional work has garnered him 4 Jeff nominations and 2 Pat awards.
Film and Television credits include guest spots on Criminal Minds, Frasier, Monk, Ally McBeal, Arrested Development, E.R., Strong Medicine, as well as numerous independents and shorts.
Everything he now does, is dedicated to his son, Sebastian and daughter Maxwell.

Lan Tran

Lan Tran is the Asian one. Hopefully you can already tell that. Did you also know she's written and performed in her own off-Broadway solo shows? "How to Unravel Your Family" played to a sold-out audience in the Lincoln Center Theater-sponsored American Living Room Festival. And "Elevator/Sex," which premiered at the West End Theater was deemed "moving and provocative" by NY Arts Magazine. Lan's work has also been presented at New York City Hall, the Walt Disney Concert Hall's REDCAT Theatre, and universities across the U.S, including Harvard. An accomplished writer, she has published fiction, nonfiction, poetry and drama in literary journals, her work has been anthologized in Waking Up American (Seal Press) and Falling Backwards (Hourglass Books), and she is a contributor to The Encyclopedia of Sex and Gender. Mari Weiss

Mari has performed her original work for Comedy Central's Sit 'N Spin, 15 Minutes of FEM, Women's Night Out, and Big News at ImprovOlympic. She is a regular performer in Slideshow! at Fake Gallery (using state of the art slide projector technology).
A native of Chicago, she worked her ass off in the theatre there before heading east (New York) and then west (LA) with "The Real Live Brady Bunch". She has performed with such LA theatre companies as evidEnce room, ZooDistrict, Knightsbridge, Theatre of NOTE and received an LA Weekly award for the hilarious "Oh Sister, My Sister!". TV credits include: CSI, Boston Legal, Desperate Housewives, ER, Without A Trace, NYPD Blue and Judging Amy. If her voice sounds familiar it’s because you’ve heard her trying to sell you stuff on the radio and TV for years.
As part of the Los Angeles Poets & Writers Collective her work has appeared in the anthology MO+TH and is thrilled to be among a handful of writers contributing to a new collection of work - Big City Mantra from Bombshelter Press

 

Paula Killen

Paula Killen began her career as an actress performing in hundreds of stage productions and in more than 30 films. She has since developed a national reputation as a playwright and monologist - premiering original works at The Goodman Theater, The Museum of Contemporary Art, The Steppenwolf Theatre, American Blues and Organic Theater in Chicago; La Mama, Dixon Place and PS122 in NYC; and Zoo District, Largo, The Falcon Theatre and HBO /Comedy CentralWorkspace in L.A. She created and performs in the annual Big Goddess POW WOW, now in its twelfth year; it remains one of the nation's largest spoken word events. As a radio commentator for NPR/WBEZ she hosted a weekly Arts and Entertainment show and has contributed to This American Life. Since arriving in Los Angeles, Killen has worked for Mandalay Entertainment developing series ideas and making short films. Her recent original stage series include The Nightlites at the Improv Olympic and The Triangle Room at the Comedy Union. Killen continues to teach and direct, and is returning to the stage with the premiere of her new solo show, Since I've been Gone, at The Prop Theater in Chicago, summer of 2005.
